The boxes

Door to door — across the state, the country, or an ocean.

Moving is the least regulated-feeling purchase in the most regulated industry you will touch this year. Every company below is licensed, was verified in August 2026, and its licence number is printed so you can check it yourself — because the difference between a mover and a moving scam is a lookup that takes ninety seconds.

Around Florida

The local and statewide crews.

Both are South Florida companies with their own trucks and federal operating authority.

Fort Lauderdale

Solomon & Sons Relocation

Local, statewide, cross-country and overseas from a Fort Lauderdale headquarters. USDOT 2512576, FL intrastate IM-FL 2522, ocean licence FMC 032078N.

West Palm Beach

Good Greek Moving & Storage

Local, statewide and interstate out of West Palm Beach — the official movers of half the state’s sports teams. USDOT 2562486.

Across the country

Interstate, three different ways.

A van line drives it, a container company drops a box, a you-pack trailer splits the difference. The right one is a budget question, and we run the quotes.

Coral Springs

International Van Lines

Full-service long-distance carrier headquartered right here in Coral Springs, with its own fleet. USDOT 2293832.

Van line

Allied Van Lines

The nationwide agent-network van line — full-service interstate with a century of paper trail. USDOT 076235, MC 15735.

Van line

National Van Lines

Employee-owned interstate van line, roughly a hundred years old, consistently top-ranked on government moves.

Containers

PODS

The portable-container original, headquartered in Clearwater — they drop the box, you load on your schedule, they drive. USDOT 1397252.

You pack

U-Pack

Trailer or cube delivered, you load, they drive — the honest middle between full-service and a rental truck. USDOT 2946400.

Across an ocean

The international specialists.

Ocean and air, door to door, customs included. The licence that matters here is the FMC one — it is what lets a company legally sell ocean freight.

140+ countries

International Van Lines

The same Coral Springs company runs international door-to-door to more than 140 countries — one contact for the domestic and overseas legs.

Miami warehouse

Schumacher Cargo Logistics

Ocean, air and vehicle shipping since 1977 with its own Miami warehouse. FMC 020417N, DOT 1347659, FIDI-FAIM accredited.

150+ countries

SDC International Shipping

Door-to-door international household moves through a 350-agent network. FMC 022380N.

Before you sign with anyone

The ninety-second check that beats every review site.

Scam movers are a real industry, and South Florida is their favourite market. Two rules cover most of it.

Check the licence, not the stars

Every interstate mover has a USDOT number and it is searchable free at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov — complaints, fleet size, insurance on file. An international shipper needs an FMC licence. A company that will not put its number in writing is the answer to your question.

A broker is not a mover

Half the quotes online come from brokers who sell your move to whoever pays least for it. Every company on this page operates its own moves. A lowball quote from a company with no trucks is how a household ends up held hostage in a warehouse.

A name here is information, not a recommendation

This is the market, mapped — who actually operates here, checked against their own sites in August 2026, with the dead ones removed. We recommend a vendor only after we have vetted the work and hold an agreement; until then, the honest sentence is: tell us the dates and we arrange the right one for your move.

How we get paid on this

Some operators in this market pay the referring brokerage a fee when a booking lands; your price is the operator’s own published rate either way. Where a fee exists we take it — that is why arranging this costs you nothing — and when we book yours we will tell you whether the vendor we picked pays us. The pick is made on the work, not the fee.

One schedule

The concierge runs the timeline.

Pack-out, landing, furniture and the house hunt on one calendar, one accountable person.

Open to everyone

Relocation Planner + Concierge

What it costs, what you save, where to land — then look-see trip, temporary housing, schools, movers, licence and registration deadlines.
